This take on a Boulevardier makes a great cocktail for coming in out of the cold.
(I know I am talking about the cold a lot and all of my pictures have snow in them. I apologize but the February weather leaves me few options right now. I promise I will include some green grass and sunshine as soon as I can.)
If you can’t find the Ibisco Bitter made by Lockhouse Distillery I would experiment with Luxardo Bitter as an alternative. The Boulevardier calls for Campari but there are so many fun aperiteifs out there these days, experiment and have fun with it!
Also if you want to kick this cocktail up another notch try infusing some bourbon with a hibiscus herbal tea to add a flowery note to the drink. Just soak the tea in bourbon for about 15 minutes and then strain it off.
